After a few years of experimenting, learning new things and selling product; Diebolt Clothing has decided to take a new route. Starting May 24th, 2013 Diebolt Clothing will be known as Admire Festival (Clothing Company). The updated Admire Girl logo(formerly seen in Diebolt’s Coronation Collection) is now Admire’s main logo. In addition to the Admire Girl, the Admire Festival wordmark will also be used heavily. You can view both logos above.
WHY THE CHANGE? Diebolt Clothing was awesome. It was never intended to be a full blown brand but when the crown logo was put on a t-shirt, high school classmates caught on. As I’ve grown as a person, designer and business mind I feel like a name change is best for the company. I originally chose to use my last name because I felt it was abstract and something I would never grow out of. The problem I ran into was that I felt uncomfortable wearing something with my own name printed all over it. I never wanted anyone to feel like I was selling myself as a designer or person instead of selling a brand. No one wants to buy into or get hyped over someone who’s just starting out.
WHY “ADMIRE FESTIVAL”? It all started with the original Admire Girl design I did for Diebolt Clothing’s Coronation Collection. It was the most popular design and has become recognizable and very likable amongst my peers. “She” represents the core of what Diebolt was and what ADMIRE will be: self actualization. The belief in yourself and what you do all while acting on showing admiration towards others who you believe in.
Where ever you go while sporting the logo, the Admire Girl will be admiring someone. She recognizes ones potential or current beauty and greatness. She is the symbol of the fact that there ARE people out there who like what you do and who you are no matter what. With a dollar and a dream anything can happen and she reminds you of that.
So the name ADMIRE obviously stems from the logo. It’s an encouraging command to not just Admire things for what they are but also for what they may be. When one see’s “Admire” on a sticker or t-shirt they will likely ask themselves “Why should I Admire?”…or “What am I admiring”…or they’ll simply Admire the sticker or tshirt. Regardless it should create buzz and encourage many to inform themselves and possibly feel inspired upon reading what ADMIRE actually is.
The “Festival” portion of the name simply came from the basic look and feel of past Diebolt releases. Flower crowns and boho-chic style clothing and accessories will no doubt be expected from ADMIRE.
WHAT WILL ADMIRE OFFER?
Admire will offer everything Diebolt did times 1000. Expect much more customer interaction, sponsorships, unique marketing….and of course much more new clothing as well as many other things.
WHEN WILL ADMIRE BECOME AVAILABLE?
Diebolt Clothing will officially switch to Admire Festival as of May 24th, 2013. The current Facebook page and Twitter page will still be active and will simply switch to Admire Festival on that date.
Admire Festival items will be available for purchase sometime in mid-Summer 2013.
